Henley Mens Probus Club held its 46th Annual General Meeting at Badgemore Park Golf Club on May 12,2026.
The AGM focussed on the business issues of the Club; accordingly the meeting did not have its usual usual guest speaker. The meeting reviewed the Club accounts covering the 12 months period up to March 31,2026 and received/discussed the Club Annual report including the individual Committee reports for each subgroup of the Club; the meeting then agreed that the Club should make a financial contribution to each of the 3 local charities recommended by the Committee.
The President summarised the key issues in the Club in the last 12 moths and identified:
- changes to the Club’s Committee including the appointment of a new Vice Chairman
- concern about the relatively low attendance at our monthly meeting compared to previous years and the need to stimulate growth in the membership
- the need to provide regular feedback to the Club members of the output from the Club’s Committee meetings
- this years Summer Lunch to be held at the Sonning Golf Club on July 22
Three new members have recently joined the Club, one of whom presented a brief summary of his business and family background – this is a traditional for new members to the Club.
